iTECH e-Services is a service-oriented company based in Norcross, GA. Community, employee growth and customer satisfaction play a big role in making the company as successful as it is.

A contracted manufacturing partner headquartered in Norcross, GA, iTECH e-Services provides supportive services to the electronic manufacturing industry by assisting clients through product development, prototyping, complete turnkey manufacturing, aftermarket care and worldwide deployment; specifically, in the areas of, electronic and electro-mechanical assembly, diagnoses/repair of printed circuit boards (PCBs), custom cables, wiring harnesses, racks/panels and control cabinets.

Customers interested in its on-demand single services can take advantage of the company’s expertise in repair, SMT, assembly build and deployment.

While customer satisfaction is the cornerstone of the company, iTECH e-Services also has a strong record of empowering the local minority community through industry skills training and employment. iTECH e-Services’ mission is to improve the quality of life for all people—through innovation of technology and honest manufacturing. “Our reputation is based on trust, dependability, quality and on-time delivery, which is vigorously managed through continuous employee training and skill enhancement.” “We do the work, so that clients can rest easy,” said VP of Business Development, Phillip Tran. “All people – customers, vendors, employees and families – must be treated with dignity and respect. If that is the case, then creativity and integrity will occur naturally in business.”

Tran added that the company also is committed to helping customers achieve leadership in their marketplace. As a result, iTECH e-Services wholeheartedly invests its time and resources into research & development (R&D), proactive communication, constant attention to quality, and consistent on-time delivery.

In order to best help customers, iTECH e-Services stays on top of industry needs. The company started out repairing PCBs because that is what the industry needed in 1997, when iTECH e-Services first opened its doors. But over the past 10 years, the industry has changed and grown. Now its focus is on LED and the company is well able to meet this need. Vince Ho, Technical Manager at iTECH e-Services, said that there are not many LED assemblers in the United States so iTECH e-Services stepped up and, in December 2015, purchased an LED-capable line from Juki Automation Systems that includes a PMax printer, a JX 350 pick-and-place system and an RSA oven.

The Juki/GKG printer is one of only a few that is capable of printing boards 4 ft. long, and the Juki JX 350 is a long-board SMT placement machine that has the ability to place 32,000 components per hour for LED production. Finally, the RS-600 Six Zone Air and Nitrogen Reflow Oven features a top and bottom Independent Air Velocity Controlling System that allows for flexible processing control, a four-way air recycling system in each zone, and an efficient power design and air management system that greatly improves energy savings while lowering carbon emissions. The company chose Juki for numerous reasons but mainly because of the line’s capability to handle 4 ft. long LED boards. Juki’s reputation is that it is one of the best companies able to offer that expertise. It also is known throughout the world as providing excellent customer service.

iTECH e-Services is the first in its region of the Southeast US to purchase a PMax, giving iTECH e-Services a decided leg up since none of the competition has this capability.

Ho explained that the majority of companies assembling LED boards must purchase the LED strip from China, which is expensive, time-consuming and ineffective. iTECH e-Services wants to streamline the process, while keeping the entire assembly in the United States. The company believes that “Built in the US” is important for many reasons. To continue strengthening this motto, iTECH e-Services purchased the best systems to meet the challenge. Ho added that assembling LED boards here will allow for decreased labor (via automation) and reduced cost of rework/repair. The Juki line provides lower cost, higher quality, reduced rework and now allows the company to compete with China. US customers no longer have to pay exorbitant shipping fees or worry about the language barrier. Additionally, they receive fast feedback and stateside service.

The General Services Administration (GSA), a large tenant in the US government, has been focusing on LED lighting for some time and has a program that is pushing for every 4 ft. florescent light to be replaced by LED light. The line from Juki will help iTECH e-Services meet the program’s requirements. Ho said that the company already has a PO from a customer because of its capability to produce the 4 ft. LED boards.

LED lighting provides numerous benefits over florescent lighting.  The technology lasts forever, cuts energy costs significantly, are nearly indestructible, and eliminates disposal challenges. Florescent lights lose 60% of their brightness in one year vs. LED lights’ 6%. Additionally, florescent lights give off substantial heat while LEDs emit almost none. Finally, LED lights are flick-free, unlike florescent lighting, which has been attributed as a cause of cataracts.

Tran concluded, “I have always said that at the end of the day, it is about the people. We are committed to the well-being and happiness of our staff and clients. One of the ways we accomplish this is by staying up-to-date on the most relevant technologies. Our goal of keeping technology in the United States allows for stringent quality and efficiency at the best prices, while meeting a real industry need for our customers. Our team members receive training to become experts in the industry, which, in turns, lets our clients know that they are dealing with the best of the best.”
